The Stone House is a 2 bedroom traditional beamed stone house, lovingly furnished to a comfortable standard, with private swimming pool, enjoying lovely uninterrupted rural views from its secluded poolside terrace and decking. The poolside terrace is not overlooked and the pretty garden with shaded car port is completely enclosed with fencing and gate.It benefits from a superb location in a peaceful no through road within Stroumbi village, where you will find a good selection of amenities including an ATM in the village square and the modern well equipped 24 hour Miros Centre at the top of the village, direction Polis (facilities below).

 

You can still enjoy and sample the traditional Cypriot way of life here, yet be within easy striking distance of both Paphos and Polis and beaches. Everything needed in daily life can be found locally. It is cheaper to eat out here than in the resorts, and as you are off the beaten track, you will experience Cypriot hospitality.

As well as this area having some of the most stunning far reaching views in Cyprus.

Paphos and Polis with beautiful beaches are within a 20 minutes drive nearby. Here in those villages is born the traditional Cypriot hospitality.


Stroumbi's fertile soil and excellent climate means it is ideal for grape vines. It is one of the largest grape producers in Paphos, having the famous Sodap winery in the village, and many excellent smaller ones. There are numerous ancient chapels here too. The disclosure of prehistoric findings and the preservation of its possibly Byzantine name of neighbouring Polemi, (found on ancient maps) are also of great importance. Paphos Town, with its interesting mix of old and new, large selection of shops and daily market, is just 12 km away...

All on ground floor and on one level: The open-plan air conditioned lounge is well furnished with comfortable leather suite and working fireplace, and joins, through a stone arch, an open plan well equipped kitchen and diner. Dining area has traditional table and wooden chairs for 4. 2 x air conditioned double bedrooms (in 2011, may have a twin in 2012) with shared bathroom with corner bath and shower attachment, W.C. French doors to poolside terrace.

Outside: Attractive gated garden with trees and shrubs, all around the villa. Wonderful uninterrupted views across fields to vineyards and hills. Private long 9m x 4m private pool with overflow feature and ladder access. Wooden decking sun terrace. Sun terraces at side. Full width covered pool terrace for shade. Portable and gas BBQ. Shaded car port. Poolside is equipped with 4 sunloungers, rattan garden furniture, superior umbrella with tilting feature and attractive lighting.

Rental includes: Welcome hamper including wine, eggs, bacon, cornflakes, bread, marg., water, milk, coffee and tea. Linen and towels. Beach towels, 1 per person. Change of linen and towels every 7 days, along with a light clean of villa. For 10/11 night bookings maid service is midway.

You may occupy from 4 pm and vacate by 10 am.

Car Hire recommended. One way 4 seater taxi from Paphos airport €55. Bus stop 200 m.

Changeover day: Dependant upon bookings, please check.

Miros Centre, offering a wide selection from gyros (mini kebab wrap) and kebab, waffles, pizzaria, minimarket, coffee shop, home made food i.e. moussaka, take away, internet etc.: 1 km, butchers (opposite Miros): 1  km, Stroumbi village square: 300 m, Coral Bay: 11 km, Paphos Town: 14 km, Paphos Airport: 18 km, Polis: 17 km, Latchi: 19 km.

Local amenities include wineries and wine route, horseriding, climbing, cycling, tennis, walking, and Evretou dam fishing. At the coast: water park, sailing, scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, jet ski, parascending, snorkelling and sea fishing

Other information

Air conditioning hot & cold is available in bedrooms at € 6 per wall unit per day and a larger unit in lounge at €8 per day, payable there, in advance. 3 units. Cot, highchair & few toys on request. One small step to verandah and one even smaller one to front door. Pre bookable fan € 3 per day incl. electricity. Winter rates include starter bag of logs and firelighters.
