Peacefully located air conditioned villa situated in the vineyards, with stunning mountain views, between Coral Bay Beach and Latchi. Lovely air, no humidity. 5 minutes walk to tavernas.
Living in a beautiful Cypriot village - Cypriot way of life....
Description
This beautiful all en-suite villa with private swimming pool equipped with Roman steps, is well situated halfway between Paphos and Polis.
The Troodos Mountains views (from the upstairs balconies in particular), across open uninterrupted vineyards, are absolutely mesmerising. There is a side sea view from upstairs as well. Villa Vineyard View is very peacefully tucked away in a hedged garden for extra privacy, in a quiet lane which winds down to Coral Bay, on the outskirts of the hilltop village of Kathikas.
For indoor entertainment, there is an excellent Satellite package, including BBC world, NBC, CNN, Euro News & Euro Sport. 2 local Cafes(500 m) also have Satellite TV including Sky Sports and Sky Nova.
Kathikas village offers the perfect environment for grape growing (clean air, lots of sunshine and no humidity) and of course our clients notice and appreciate this too, especially when returning from the coast, where humidity can be high. The island’s best wine is produced here, and the local Sterna Winery (1 km) offers Free Wine tasting. This wine producing traditional village has a thriving community and the village should provide you with everything you need, including some excellent local tavernas, (from 5 mins walk slightly uphill, then pretty flat).
There is a lot to do locally, including a nature walking trail from the village. Avakas Gorge (for rambling with Ecologia Tours & Travel) is just 4 km. Between 10 th and 17 th of August they have the annual Village Festival and at Easter time there are traditional activities in the village.
Kathikas forms part of the Laona Project, which aims to restore old properties using traditional methods, and it is a pleasure to view these beautiful restorations locally, including Marias minimarket, renovated from an old house and full of charm.
